We arrived at our 2023 opener in cold conditions, however the rain held off and towards the end the temperature improved.
Unfortunately parts of the course appeared to have taken a battering during the winter months with some fairways muddy in parts and the placement of balls was a must. That being said, it didn't stop our members from enjoying the day and it certainly didn't stop Buddy Bdzola who's impressive score of 44 points, shot him to the top of the leader board and overall winners podium. Worth mentioning was his back nine performance, 3 points on 7 holes plus a 4 and 2 totalling 27 or net birdie every hole.
Mick Rewilak warmly welcomed all members including 6 new members Ambroz Doczyminskyi, George Frost, Andrij Kaminskiy, Andrej Michaluk, Bohdan Semhen and Boris Zadarko. He also personally welcomed Keith Holmes, Shaun Stromkovski and Jay Frearson who were our playing guests for the day.
It was a very good turn out with a total of 25 competitors.
Winner of Div 1
Our new member Andrij Kaminskyi with a splendid score of 40 points. In the same division Mick Borys came second with 34 points and third Andy Bendzak with 28 points.
Winner of Div 2
Overall competition winner was Buddy Bdzola 44 points, runner up Scott Frearson 36 points and third Matviy Bdzola with 30 points.
Minor prizes went to Mick Melnyk, Iwan Kudiarskyj and Matviy Bdzola winning Nearest Pin, Nearest Pin and Longest Drive respectively.
Birdie Winners
Finally last years winner of the "Bendzak Memorial Trophy" Roman Skalsky handed over the trophy to this months champion, Buddy Bdzola.
